How to measure your trousers
Take a pair of trousers that fits you well, lay them flat and measure. Two numbers and you have your size.
Step 1 — waist (cm)
- Lay the trousers flat and smooth out the waistband.
- Measure across the waistband, from edge to edge.
- Multiply that number by 2. The result in centimetres is your waist.
Sizes go up in 2 cm steps: 84, 86, 88 and so on. Pick the one your measurement lands on.
Step 2 — length (inches)
- Find the crotch — the point where the two legs split apart.
- From there measure straight down the leg, all the way to the hem.
- Divide those centimetres by 2.54. That gives inches, the unit we use for length.
Do not measure from the waistband. Only the part below the crotch counts.
Between two sizes?
For the waist, round up — a little room is more comfortable than a pair that only just fits. For the length, take the closest one offered.

Waist = flat width of your trousers × 2. Length in inches = inseam in cm ÷ 2.54.
Take a pair of trousers that fit you, lay them flat and measure the waistband from seam to seam.
Measure along the leg: from the crotch seam to the bottom of the leg.
